The role of ozone

Ozone and its secondary product, hydroxyl oxygen, have the strongest bactericidal and virucidal effects, effectively preventing the spread of bacteria and viruses. Experiments have shown that ozone's effect on killing bacteria and viruses is 600-3000 times that of chlorine at the same concentration. Ozone is an internationally recognized environmentally friendly green bactericide that does not cause any secondary pollution to the environment, while chlorine agents react with organic matter in water to produce trichloromethane, chloroform, etc., which are recognized carcinogens and mutagens. When people swim, these toxic substances are absorbed by the human body (the human body can absorb 500 ml of water per hour in water). Chlorinated organic compounds in water can also irritate the eyes and skin, causing red eyes and rashes.

Ozone is the strongest oxidizing agent, effectively decomposing corrosive substances in water, oxidizing iron and manganese ions in water, and decomposing tiny organisms that scatter light in water, thereby greatly improving the clarity of the water and making the water appear a beautiful blue, while chlorine agents have no such effect. To make the water blue, swimming pools using chlorine agents often need to add copper salts, which are extremely harmful to humans.

Adding chlorine agents can lead to changes in the pH value of the water, making people feel uncomfortable, and alkaline or acidic substances need to be added to neutralize it. Ozone is a neutral substance and will not cause this problem.

Ozone technology

Ozone disinfection is used for circulating water. The concentration added is: 0.5–1.0mg/L. The general method used is: ozone water mixed by negative pressure generated by the injector through water flow pressure is combined with the main water flow, and the reaction in the contact tank is not less than two minutes to achieve the purpose of sterilization. In order to ensure that the ozone in the air is below 0.1ppm, an activated carbon decomposer is installed.
