First: Observation.

Under normal circumstances, clean water should be colorless and transparent, the water body is clean and tidy, without other debris. The turbidity-qualified pool water is crystal clear, and you can easily see 20 meters away in the pool; if there is no sediment at the bottom of the pool, and the pool water foam dissipates within fifteen seconds, this indicates that the water in the pool is frequently changed and is relatively clean.

Second: Smell for any unusual odors.

Clean water usually has the smell of bleaching powder and other disinfectants, but if the water is polluted, there will be other odors, the most common being the rotten smell from sewers.

Third: Touch.

Frequent swimmers can feel the "softness" and "hardness" of the water. A soft feeling indicates good water quality, while a "hard" or "涩" feeling, or even itching and pain, may indicate poor water quality.

Fourth: Chemical testing.

By sampling a portion of the water body and separating it for testing the content of various chemicals, it can be determined whether the water body contains excessive chemical pollutants.

Fifth: Biological testing.

By sampling a portion of the water body and observing the content of microorganisms and whether the number of pathogenic bacteria exceeds the standard under a microscope.
